Cara Minama is a writer, poet, playwright, screenwriter, editor, visual artist and designer currently pursuing her BA (Honors) in Dramatic Arts and English at the University of Windsor. Her creative work explores identity, grief, womanhood, pain, healing, rejection and resilience – often rooted in personal experience and cultural memory.

With a voice that is intimate, Minama’s writing invites readers to sit in the midst of vulnerability and speak truth to silence. Her debut collection, “Across From You” stands as a testament to the quiet strength of those who continue to reach for light – despite the darkest moments.
